The Union county prosecution office run by William Daniel is charging Kam, a rape survivor with a felony for exposing a serial rapist online. Come out to show them we refuse to let the prosecutor criminalize a survivor!
For over 2 years, Kam has had to show up to the Union county courthouse because Union County Prosecutor William Daniel’s office is charging Kam with the crime of “Cyber harassment” for exposing a rapist online.
These felony charges could result in up to 18 months of jail time because Kam made an instagram post about a serial rapist who has raped dozens of women and trans people in the Union County area.
When Kam was raped by the perpetrator, they contacted local police to arrest this violent rapist but they were not only ignored but also discouraged. Meanwhile, this violent rapist gets to not only walk free but also has the Union County prosecution going after Kam, one of the many survivors this disgusting rapist has attacked.
When survivors of rape, abuse, and misogynistic attacks come forward they are so often ignored especially by law enforcement officials. But rapists and predators not only avoid serious consequences for their crimes but they literally run the government.
In the case of Maria Niotis and Isabella Salas, two 17-year olds, who were viciously murdered on Sept. 29th, 2025, in Cranford, NJ— Maria had been stalked by her murderer for months but police ignored her and her family.
17-year old Vincent Battiloro, who stalked and killed Maria and her best friend is the son of a retired police officer and his uncle is the police chief of Westfield, NJ. He is now being charged with two counts of first-degree murder, but his case is still being treated as a confidential juvenile matter meaning details released to the public are limited and so is sentencing.
The Niotis family is demanding justice for their daughter and they fear Union County Prosecutor William Daniel is giving Battiloro preferential treatment because of his family ties to Jersey police.
The families of Maria Niotis and Isabella Salas said the 17-year-old suspect is “a coward of a man who had been plotting an attack on Maria for months. He is not insane, he is competent and meditated.” Battiloro ran over Maria and Isabella who were on an e-bike at over 70mph in his vehicle just a few blocks from their home clearly setting out to murder.
Battiloro was influenced by famous right-wing misogynists Andrew Tate and Charlie Kirk. He harassed Maria for making fun of Kirk by sending a false delivery to her home and live streaming it online.
Maria’s uncle said that “he followed her home from school every day and police did nothing”. She had also filed a restraining order against him but he still stalked her. Neighbors said “he’s been parked outside of her house, online, in school.” and “The school was notified, the police were notified, like for three months now.”
The families of Maria Niotis and Isabella Salas deserve justice for their loved ones. Their cruel murders could have been easily prevented if their calls for killer Battiloro to be stopped would have been taken seriously. Prosecutor William Daniel has yet to decide if Battiloro will be tried as an adult, which is what both families are justly demanding. Prosecutor Daniel is responsible for denying them justice and protecting a deplorable cold blooded killer.
We demand Union County Prosecutor William Daniel drop the charges against Kam, and actually go after the rapist who has the prosecutor’s office protecting him and doing his misogynist bidding for him. Daniel thinks he can get away with criminalizing a survivor but we refuse to accept these bullshit charges!
