Rents and property values continue to soar in Taos forcing people out onto the streets. There is an astonishing lack of services for people once they are homeless. Meanwhile, tourists and second home owners flock to Taos treating it like their playground. We refuse to sit idly by and watch our neighbors freeze to death on the streets, or live in dilapidated houses while half of homes in the town sit vacant!
