This July, Dare to Struggle and Rogue Residents are holding a protest against the NYCHA nightmare in all five boroughs.
If you’re a NYCHA resident, now is the time to stand with your neighbors against NYCHA and the real estate suits plotting to displace families.
In recent months, we’ve met NYCHA residents in developments in the Bronx, Brooklyn, and Staten Island who are facing different conditions of neglect and are at different stages of privatization. We’ve learned what happens when private real estate companies take over managing NYCHA developments (to no one’s surprise, they’re trash). We’ve seen NYCHA leave other developments basically abandoned, with inhumane conditions and no end in sight.
Every public housing resident in NYC shares a common enemy: NYCHA, city officials, and real estate suits that are united in their plan for getting rid of the projects. This fight is bigger than any single development, but it will take committed struggle in each borough to pose a serious threat to the city’s plan to privatize and displace NYCHA residents.
How to get involved:
- Print and distribute our 5 Borough Protest flyer where you live (see below)
- Join us on our weekly outings to meet NYCHA residents throughout the city to bring them into the struggle
- Send us photo and video testimony of your experience of the NYCHA nightmare (DM us or email to daretostrugglenyc@protonmail.com)
