This month, we are discussing the next two parts of kites issue #8, which sums up the last 100 years of revolutionary history in the United States. The Sixties section analyzes the world situation after WW2 when the US emerged as the top imperialist power. Revolutions in oppressed nations shook the world and inspired a new generation of radicals in the US, including the Black Panthers, who put revolution on the map. This revolutionary decade was followed by the formation of the RCP, whose history contains rich political lessons we can learn from before its degeneration in the new millennium.
