This month, we are discussing the first part of kites issue #8, which sums up the last 100 years of revolutionary history in the United States. Starting with the Communist Party (CP), the issue lays out and analyzes how the CP began and developed through the struggles of the first half of the 20th century. With notable sections on how they organized against segregation and evictions in the Midwest and Northeast, and how they fought lynch mobs and legal lynching in the Jim Crow South, it is an indispensable read for anyone serious about learning from the successes and failures of past revolutionaries.
